Friday 10th July 2020 was meant to be the day that Tony Hadley, ex-lead singer of Spandau Ballet, performed at the Shelford Feast.

Sadly, like many other great events this year, the pandemic has meant that Great Shelford is a lot quieter this week, and a lot less fun. We don’t have a marquee jumping with the most famous act ever to perform in the village, we don’t even have a marquee. What we DO have is a personal message from the legend himself, reminding us all that we only have to wait a year and he will there to headline our little festival. So let’s focus on the positives, do what we can to support each other and hope we all get through this hard time so we can celebrate next summer together.

Take it away Tony…
