Jack gives us great rhythm and blues. It was foot-tapping, fun and full of solid musicianship from well established local musicians. |
Then we had John Otway. Something of an enigma, proud of his ability to just miss out on fame and fortune, he has a cult following and generated more requests for advance sales than any other band this year. Taking these photographs from close to the stage I can confirm he's an entertainer whose character comes alive on stage. Musically he is the acceptable face of flippant punk and rock. He doesn't take himself too seriously - onstage he has something of The Young Ones about him.
